Wasfia is the only woman to hold the simultaneous National Geographic titles of Explorer & Adventurer. She has committed her life to women's empowerment, environmental sustainability, conquering her own obstacles and raising awareness along the way. 

Dr. Loretta Chen was the Creative Director of The Activation Group, a creative agency with offices around Asia where she helmed campaigns for Samsung, Louis Vuitton, Nike as well as BNP Paribas’ all-star Women’s Tennis tournament featuring Serena Williams. She directed numerous theatrical productions including Victor Victoria, staged during President Obama’s APEC visit to Singapore and premiered The F Word (2011) at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, garnering her an Amnesty Freedom of Expression Award for bringing the plight of sex-trafficked women to light. She was the International Consultant to Bhutan, a nominated Member of Parliament and voted one of Asia’s most Inspiring Women. Her latest book, “Inspiring Women of Hawaii” is available at Costco, Target and all good bookstores.

In Grit & Grace: Inspiring Women of Hawaii, executive creative director, author and professor, Dr. Loretta Chen will share her conception and creation of this landmark book. Voted one of Asia's most inspiring Women, this interactive session with Dr. Chen will ignite conversation to raise awareness and cultivate woke youth who will hopefully go on to become empowered leaders and changemakers just like the inspiring women of Hawaii.
