Inspiring Women of Hawaii marks Loretta’s first collaboration with Mutual Publishing and tells the stories of: Marleen Akau, Puanani Burgess, Christine Camp, Shirley Daniel, Leanne Ferrer, Raiatea Helm, Mazie Hirono, Maxine Hong Kingston, Isabella Ellaheh Hughes, Kathryn Whang Inouye, Kim Coco Iwamoto, Connie Lau, Lynette Lo Tom, Lauren Matsumoto, Mary Philpotts McGrath, Catherine Ngo, Kymberly Marcos Pine, Crystal K. Rose, Maya Soetoro-Ng, Jennifer Sabas, Ligaya Stice, Karen Tan, Lois-Ann Yamanaka, and Lee Anne Wong.
Dr. Chen now teaches at University of Hawaii -Leeward Community College and has started a theater program in the Waianae Coast as well as Caravan Theater, a community theater outfit for leadership and social change.
Presentations will be in the Keauhou Shopping Center Courtyard. Pupu and refreshments and book signings will be inside Kona Stories. Come early and enjoy a glass of wine inside the store while you talk story with the authors and your neighbors.
